The Ridmore small is a 5 light solid brass chandelier with a 38cm diameter and 46cm drop, designed for dining nooks, foyers and lower-ceilinged rooms where a full-sized chandelier would overwhelm the space. Five curved arms extend from a sculpted central column, each terminating in a candle-style holder with a drip tray detail cast into the brass. Each arm takes an SES (E14) bulb up to 60W, sold separately.

Designed for ceiling heights of 2.3-2.7m, the chandelier suits rooms where a traditional fitting is wanted but the available vertical clearance restricts the drop. The 38cm diameter works above round dining tables of 90-120cm, in entrance halls with 2-3m width, and over stair landings where a larger chandelier would intrude into the headroom. The central column conceals the ceiling rose and cable run, with a polished brass canopy fitted flush to the ceiling.

How is the polished brass maintained?

Polished brass develops a natural patina over time unless regularly cleaned. To maintain the bright polished finish, wipe gently with a soft microfibre cloth and a brass-specific polish every 3-6 months. For a low-maintenance option, allow the brass to age naturally into a warmer, darker tone.

Is this the same as the standard Ridmore chandelier?
