Description

The Rhine is an 8-light crystal chandelier built around a tiered gold-plated brass frame, dressed with multiple strands of Strass lead crystal droplets. The chandelier forms a basket shape that narrows at the top crown and flares gently outward at the mid-section before tapering toward the base, creating a three-tier silhouette 40cm in diameter and 62cm in total drop. Eight BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb fittings sit inside the upper tier behind the crystal strands.

Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and formal dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Rhine needs vertical space to carry its proportions without overwhelming the room. The chandelier hangs on a gold-plated chain that conceals the cable run, and the 62cm body drop sits best when there is at least 2.1m clearance beneath the lowest crystal point. The basket form directs light upward through the crown and outward through the mid-tier, with the crystal strands scattering refracted light across walls and ceilings.

What ceiling height is needed?

Is the chain length adjustable?

How is the crystal cleaned?

Strass lead crystal attracts dust over time. Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal strand gently with a dry microfibre cloth, working from the top tier downward. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or letting water pool in the sockets.
