Novelle 5 Light Crystal Chandelier - Nickel

The Novelle is a 5-light crystal chandelier built on a nickel scrollwork frame with five candelabra-style arms, each supporting a faceted crystal sphere and a G9 bulb fitting. A larger faceted crystal sphere sits at the top of the central column, with smaller crystal droplets suspended below each arm on fine wire. The nickel frame forms symmetrical infinity-loop curves that rise from a central stem and curl outward in balanced pairs.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Novelle works in both traditional and transitional interiors where a decorative overhead fitting is needed without the scale or weight of a full crystal chandelier. The 44cm diameter suits 3-4m dining tables and 4-5m entrance halls. The five G9 bulb fittings accept capsule bulbs up to 33W maximum (sold separately), allowing control over light temperature and intensity.

The nickel finish on the metalwork gives a cooler, more contemporary tone than polished brass or antique finishes, pairing cleanly with grey, taupe and neutral colour schemes. The faceted crystal spheres at each arm and the hanging droplets catch ambient daylight and reflect overhead bulb light when lit, adding movement and sparkle without the density of a fully-dressed crystal chandelier. The open scrollwork frame keeps the visual weight light despite the 3kg actual weight, making the fitting feel more sculptural than heavy.

The chandelier ships with a ceiling rose and chain suspension system that allows height adjustment on installation. Fitting requires connection to a ceiling rose with mains wiring — a qualified electrician is recommended for installation to ensure the weight is supported correctly and wiring is safe.

What bulbs does the Novelle take?

The chandelier uses five G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to a maximum of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED G9 capsules between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living room use.

Is the chandelier height adjustable?

Yes. The fitting ships with a chain suspension system that allows the drop to be adjusted during installation to suit ceiling height and room proportions. The 40cm body height is fixed, but the chain can be shortened or lengthened as needed.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Novelle works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface. For entrance halls, allow at least 2.1m clearance beneath the lowest point of the fitting.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the faceted crystal spheres and droplets with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or using chemical cleaners on the nickel frame.
