Description
The Nova is a 5 light crystal chandelier built on a solid brass frame finished in gold plate, draped with cut Strass lead crystal droplets in a tiered basket-and-crown arrangement. Five BC (bayonet cap) lampholders sit within the upper tier, each accepting bulbs up to 60W. The frame measures 43cm in diameter and 67cm in height, creating a tall vertical profile that delivers presence without requiring the floor space of wider traditional chandeliers.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls, stairwells and formal lounges where ceiling height permits, the Nova pairs well with rooms of 3m+ height where the 67cm drop can be appreciated without crowding the space below. The narrow 43cm diameter suits circular dining tables up to 120cm and rectangular tables up to 180cm, providing overhead lighting without extending into the visual field of seated diners. The 7kg weight requires a ceiling rose rated for the load and secure fixing into a joist or ceiling anchor.
The gold-plated finish on the solid brass frame casts warm amber reflections through the Strass crystal when lit, producing softer tones than polished chrome or nickel alternatives. Each crystal droplet is hand-cut lead crystal offering higher refractive index than standard glass, so the chandelier throws more prismatic light patterns onto surrounding walls and ceilings under candle-style filament bulbs. The tiered construction places the crystal in three distinct layers — a crown at the top, a basket in the middle, and a cascade at the base — giving dimensional depth to the silhouette when viewed from the side.

Frequently Asked
What bulb type does the Nova take?
The chandelier takes five BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a period look that minimises running costs.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 67cm height of the chandelier itself suits rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, allowing clearance of at least 2.1m from the floor to the lowest crystal droplet once the chain and canopy are accounted for. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Nova if the suspension chain is shortened during installation.
Is the gold finish real gold?
The frame is solid brass with a gold-plated finish applied to the surface. This is not solid gold, but the brass base ensures the finish does not wear through to a different metal underneath, as it would on a steel or aluminium substrate.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Strass lead crystal is best cleaned by removing individual droplets and washing them in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, then drying with a lint-free cloth. For light dusting without removing the crystals, use a dry microfibre cloth while the chandelier is switched off and cool.
