Description
The Nova is a 43cm semi-flush chandelier built around a square-tiered gold-plated frame hung with precision-cut Strass lead crystal droplets. Three BC (bayonet cap) bulb holders sit behind the crystal tiers, each rated to 60W maximum, casting light through the faceted droplets to create refracted sparkle across walls and ceilings. The 28cm height from ceiling to the lowest crystal drop makes the Nova suited to rooms with low ceilings where a full-drop chandelier would hang too close to head height.
Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms with 2.3-2.5m ceiling heights, bedrooms and smaller living rooms, the Nova provides ambient and decorative light without needing the vertical clearance of a traditional chandelier. The semi-flush mount sits tight to the ceiling rose with minimal gap, giving a cleaner line than a chain-hung fitting. The gold-plated frame contrasts with the clear crystal, adding warmth to both traditional and contemporary schemes where a touch of classical detailing works within a neutral palette.
Each crystal droplet is individually hung on the gold frame, creating a layered cascade effect where light refracts through multiple surfaces before reaching the room. The square tiering structure — wider at the top gallery, narrowing through the central basket, then cascading downward — gives the Nova a more architectural profile than round chandeliers of similar scale. At 5kg, the fitting requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling support rated for the load. Bulbs are sold separately; warm-white LED candle bulbs (2700K-3000K) pair well with the gold finish.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Nova uses three BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated to a maximum of 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) between 4-6W for a soft ambient glow through the crystal.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 28cm drop from ceiling to the lowest crystal makes the Nova suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. In a 2.4m room the lowest point of the chandelier would sit at approximately 2.12m, giving comfortable clearance for head height underneath.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the fitting or allowing water to pool in the bulb holders or wiring.
Does the gold plating tarnish?
Gold plating resists tarnishing better than brass, but over years in humid environments (bathrooms, poorly-ventilated rooms) some dulling can occur. The Nova is designed for dry interior living spaces, not bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.
