Description

The Montare is a 4-light chandelier built around a central ribbed column with four curved arms finished in French gold, each draped with hand-cut crystal droplets and baroque-style crystal pendants. The chandelier measures 51cm in diameter and 69cm in height, making it suitable for rooms with 2.4m ceilings or higher where a traditional multi-tier chandelier would overpower the space.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and sitting rooms in period properties or traditional interiors, the Montare requires four SES (E14) candle bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately). The French gold finish is a soft antique gold with subtle tonal variation that pairs with brass hardware, oak furniture and warm-toned fabrics. Each arm holds a single bulb surrounded by crystal droplets, and the central column carries additional crystal elements that catch and reflect candlelight or LED light across the room.

The hand-cut crystal uses faceted baroque pendants and smaller droplets strung along the arms, giving the chandelier layered depth when viewed from below. At 6kg the fitting requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 8kg load and secure joist fixing. The chain length can be adjusted on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, with the chandelier typically positioned 2-2.1m above floor level in a dining room or 2.2m minimum in an entrance hall.

The Montare requires four SES (E14 small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for period-appropriate lighting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 69cm drop suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In a dining room the chandelier typically hangs 2-2.1m above floor level, leaving 700-800mm clearance above a standard dining table. The chain can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch installed. LED candle bulbs labeled as dimmable will work with compatible dimmer modules. Check bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the chandelier and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal element with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid spraying directly onto the crystal or soaking the metal frame.
