The Louven is a 5-light crystal chandelier built on a polished brass frame with five curved arms, each holding an SES candle fitting dressed with hand-cut crystal drops and amber-tinted ruffled garlands. The central column supports a tiered arrangement of clear and amber crystal elements, with the outer arms extending symmetrically to distribute five light sources across a 38cm diameter spread.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways in period properties or classically-styled homes, the Louven delivers traditional chandelier presence in rooms where a larger fitting would overwhelm. The 46cm drop from ceiling rose to lowest crystal suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, with the polished brass finish and crystal detail creating focal interest in spaces up to 4m wide. Each arm carries a single SES bulb up to 60W, giving a combined 300W maximum load across all five fittings.

The hand-cut crystals show faceted edges that catch light from the bulbs and from natural daylight entering the room, creating prismatic reflections on surrounding walls and ceilings. What bulb does the Louven take?

Each of the five arms takes a Small Edison Screw (SES, E14 base) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this chandelier with candle-shaped LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) to suit the traditional styling.

Is it suitable for a bedroom?

Yes. The 38cm diameter and 46cm drop suit bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The chandelier provides both ambient light from the five candle fittings and decorative sparkle from the crystal elements.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off power at the mains. Dust the polished brass frame and crystal drops with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystals can be removed and wiped with a barely-damp cloth, then dried immediately to prevent water spots.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The Louven suspends from a chain and central stem, which allows it to hang vertically even on a sloped ceiling, provided the ceiling rose is fitted securely and the chain adjusted to keep the chandelier level.
