Description

The Glint is a 43cm rectangular crystal chandelier built around five G9 bulb fittings set within vertical rods of faceted clear crystal, arranged in a linear cluster suspended from a polished chrome ceiling canopy. The crystal rods run vertically across the 43cm width, with each G9 bulb positioned within the central section of the cluster to refract light through the surrounding faceted surfaces.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and rectangular seating areas where directional lighting and visual symmetry matter, the Glint pairs ambient light with architectural detail. The rectangular profile suits tables between 1.4m and 2m in length, and the 21cm height of the fitting sits comfortably 700-900mm above a table surface depending on ceiling height. The near-invisible suspension cables allow the chrome and crystal cluster to appear as if floating.

Each crystal rod is precision-cut with multiple facets that catch and fragment the light from the five G9 bulbs, projecting shifting patterns of refracted light onto nearby walls and surfaces as the viewing angle changes. The polished chrome frame amplifies the reflective quality of the fitting and anchors the crystal visually. At 6.6kg the Glint requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable support, not suitable for hollow plasterboard ceilings without reinforcement.

What bulbs does the Glint take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED capsules between 3-5W each in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining areas, or cool white (4000K) for kitchens.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 LED bulbs you choose and the dimmer switch installed. Not all G9 LEDs are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer circuit.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal rod gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome fittings or letting water run into the bulb holders.

What ceiling fixing is required?

At 6.6kg the Glint requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or a suitable support rated for the weight. Hollow plasterboard ceilings need reinforcement with a spreader plate or metal support bar fixed between joists. Do not rely on plasterboard fixings alone.
