Description

The Glacia is a 40cm five-tier crystal chandelier built around a polished chrome frame with five tiers of lead crystal prisms arranged in graduated layers. Each tier holds rectangular crystal drops that hang from the chrome framework, creating a cascading effect from a 40cm diameter top tier down to a narrower bottom tier. The five E14 bulb fittings sit behind the crystal on the top two tiers, casting light through and across the prisms to generate refracted sparkle.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Glacia provides both ambient and decorative light. The 45cm drop from canopy to bottom tier suits standard ceiling heights when hung 700-900mm above a dining table or positioned centrally in a 12-16m² room. The polished chrome finish reflects light cleanly without adding warm tones, pairing with contemporary greys, whites and mirrored furniture.

The lead crystal prisms are cut with bevelled edges to maximise refraction, so each prism splits white light into spectrum colours when lit. The five-tier arrangement gives the chandelier visual depth when viewed from below, with the staggered layers creating a pyramid silhouette. At 10kg the fitting requires a ceiling rose rated for the weight and a secure fixing into a joist or ceiling support.

The Glacia takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to avoid harsh light through the crystal.

What ceiling height is needed?

How is the crystal cleaned?

Lead crystal can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the bulbs are switched off and cool. For deeper cleaning, remove individual prisms from the frame and wash in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinse and dry thoroughly before rehanging.
