The Bressa is an 8-light chandelier with fluted optical glass shades set on curved gold-plated arms, each paired with faceted lead crystal drops suspended below the glass cups. The frame spreads to 64cm diameter across eight arms radiating from a central hub, and each arm terminates in a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately) housed within the fluted glass. The crystal drops add movement and break ambient light into prismatic reflections across ceilings and walls.

Designed for formal dining rooms, entrance halls and traditional living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Bressa provides decorative presence without overwhelming medium-sized rooms. The 40cm drop from canopy to base suits spaces where a chandelier needs to sit above head height but remain visible from floor level. Fitted centrally over a dining table for six to eight people, the chandelier provides ambient light spread across the table surface when paired with warm-white G9 LEDs.

The gold plating on the frame gives a warm metallic tone that pairs with antique brass hardware, warm wood furniture and soft-toned walls in cream, taupe or pale gold. The optical glass shades diffuse the light from each G9 bulb, softening direct glare while the crystal drops below each shade add a second layer of refraction. At 6kg total weight, the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for the combined load and a secure fixing into a joist or noggin above plasterboard ceilings.

What bulbs does the Bressa take?

The chandelier takes eight G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. G9 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2-4W and 2700K-3000K for a soft ambient glow that complements the gold frame and crystal drops.

Is it suitable for lower ceilings?

The 40cm drop from canopy to base makes the Bressa suitable for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m upwards, though it shows best in rooms with 2.7m or higher ceilings where the full vertical profile is visible from floor level. The chandelier cannot be shortened as the central hub and arms are a fixed assembly.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the gold-plated frame and optical glass shades with a dry microfibre cloth. The crystal drops can be removed individually for washing in warm soapy water, then dried and re-hung. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly onto the chandelier as residue can dull the gold plating.

What room size does it suit?

The 64cm diameter suits dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms between 4m x 4m and 6m x 6m. In larger rooms the chandelier may appear undersized; in smaller rooms it can dominate the ceiling plane. Fitted centrally over a rectangular dining table, the spread comfortably lights a table for six to eight people.
