Description

The Bayen is an 8-light crystal chandelier built on a three-tier gold-plated frame with hand-hung Strass lead crystal droplets cascading from the upper column, basket tier and lower finial. The frame diameter measures 47cm at the widest basket tier, with an overall drop of 66cm from the ceiling rose to the bottom of the crystal finial. Each of the eight BC (bayonet cap) bulb holders sits behind the crystal-draped basket, with bulbs sold separately.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Bayen provides both ambient light from the eight bulbs and decorative sparkle from the faceted Strass crystals. The 47cm diameter suits dining tables of 140-180cm length or hallway zones of 3-4m width where the chandelier can be centred without overwhelming the space. The gold-plated finish on the metal frame provides warm metallic accents that contrast with the clear crystal.

Strass lead crystal is cut with multiple facets per droplet, so each piece refracts light into spectrum colours when the chandelier is lit. The three-tier structure — vertical column, wide basket, lower finial — creates visual balance and allows the crystals to catch light from multiple angles. The 7kg weight requires a ceiling fixing capable of supporting at least 10kg, with the wiring run concealed inside the suspension chain.

What bulbs does the Bayen take?

The chandelier takes eight BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for dining rooms, or clear filament-style LEDs where the bulbs are visible through the crystals.
