Description

The Alvera is a 32cm round crystal chandelier with a polished chrome frame holding five G9 bulb fittings, surrounded by two tiers of faceted crystal droplets. The upper tier consists of rectangular cut crystals arranged vertically around the rim, while the lower tier uses smaller spherical crystals that cascade beneath the bulb plane, creating a layered effect when lit.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallway spaces with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards, the Alvera provides both ambient and decorative light. The 18cm fitting height plus adjustable cable drop allows positioning 700-900mm above a surface, making it suitable for tables seating four to six people. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable suspension adjusts on installation to suit the room height.

Each of the five G9 bulbs (sold separately, maximum 28W total output) sits within the crystal ring, so the light source becomes part of the visual composition rather than hidden above. The faceted crystals refract light across the room when lit and catch ambient daylight when unlit. At 3.45kg the chandelier carries noticeable weight without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings for standard plasterboard and joist construction.

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. The maximum combined wattage is 28W across all five bulbs, so most users pair this with 4W or 5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining and hallway applications.

What table size does it suit?

The 32cm diameter works over tables seating four to six people, typically 120-160cm length. For larger dining tables consider a wider chandelier or multiple pendants spaced along the table length.

Is the drop height adjustable?

Yes. The cable suspension adjusts during installation, allowing the chandelier to be set at the correct height above the table or floor depending on ceiling height. The 18cm fitting height is fixed.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal piece with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or allowing water into the bulb holders.
