Description
The Vessa is a 6-light semi-flush crystal chandelier with a chrome frame, 32cm diameter and 25cm drop, built around three concentric tiers of faceted crystal elements suspended on vertical chrome columns. Six SES bulb holders (bulbs sold separately, each rated up to 40W) sit inside the crystal arrangement, turning the fixture into a multi-directional light source that casts refracted patterns across ceilings and walls when lit.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a traditional drop chandelier would hang too low, the semi-flush format fits hallways, entrance halls, bedrooms, dining rooms in flats and smaller properties. The 25cm drop keeps the fixture tight to the ceiling whilst the layered crystal tiers and outermost ring of larger crystal spheres provide the decorative volume of a full chandelier. The 13kg weight requires a secure ceiling joist or noggin fixing rather than a standard plasterboard anchor.
Each crystal tier is precision-cut to maximise refraction — the vertical chrome columns hold the crystals in fixed positions, creating consistent light patterns across the ceiling plane. The chrome finish on the frame and canopy provides a cooler metallic tone that pairs with contemporary greys, whites and darker accent furniture, contrasting with warmer brass or gold fixtures in adjacent rooms. The outer ring of large spherical crystals defines the chandelier's visual boundary and catches ambient daylight even when the bulbs are off.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Vessa take?
The chandelier takes six SES (Small Edison Screw, E14) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional chandelier look, or cooler 4000K daylight LEDs for a more contemporary aesthetic.
What ceiling height is needed?
The semi-flush format is designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower. The 25cm drop means the chandelier sits close to the ceiling, leaving clearance for doors and circulation in hallways and entrance areas without the risk of head collisions.
How is the chandelier fitted to the ceiling?
At 13kg, the Vessa requires a secure fixing into a ceiling joist or a noggin between joists. Standard plasterboard anchors will not support this weight. The chrome canopy conceals the ceiling rose and fixing once installed.
Can it be cleaned without dismantling the crystal?
Yes. Individual crystals can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth whilst in place. For more thorough cleaning, switch the power off at the consumer unit and use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid sprays or chemical cleaners that may leave streaks or damage the chrome.
