Description

The Verlin is an 8-light crystal chandelier with a rustic bronze frame carrying scrolled arms, each terminating in a candle-style holder fitted for an SES bulb. Cascading from the arms and central column are purple and clear crystal droplets in graduated teardrop and faceted oval shapes, adding weight and movement to the bronze frame. The chandelier measures 76cm in diameter and 75cm in drop before chain, with a total weight of 13kg.

Designed for formal dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwell voids with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Verlin provides ambient light across an 8-12m² dining table or 3-4m hallway width. The eight candle positions distribute light evenly around the frame, while the crystal droplets refract and scatter the light from the bulbs, creating layered illumination that changes character depending on bulb choice. The rustic bronze finish is a darker, oxidised tone rather than polished or antique, pairing with deep wood furniture, terracotta, slate and warm-toned period interiors.

The scrolled arms are forged metal rather than cast, giving each curve a slightly irregular profile that suits traditional and transitional spaces without the uniformity of mass-produced fittings. What bulbs does the Verlin take?

The chandelier takes eight SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. For a warm traditional look, pair with 2700K LED candle bulbs or vintage filament-style LEDs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 75cm body drop plus chain and canopy typically requires a ceiling height of 2.7m or above to maintain comfortable clearance over a dining table. The chain is adjustable on installation to suit the specific room height.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs fitted. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Incandescent and halogen SES bulbs are inherently dimmable with standard dimmer switches.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal droplet with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry immediately to avoid water spots. Do not use sprays or chemical cleaners on the crystal or bronze frame.
