Description

The Varo is a 590mm flush-mounted crystal ceiling light with seven G9 bulb fittings arranged within a circular chrome frame. Layered strands of clear crystal droplets radiate from the centre outward in a tiered pattern, creating a bowl-shaped canopy that sits 220mm below the ceiling. Each crystal strand catches and refracts light from the seven bulbs positioned within the frame, producing dispersed reflections across the ceiling and walls even when the light is switched off.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m where a pendant would drop too low, the Varo works in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and open-plan kitchen-dining zones. The flush-mount configuration keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the crystal layers provide the decorative density typically associated with a chandelier. The 590mm diameter suits rooms between 12m² and 20m², providing adequate light spread when fitted with seven G9 bulbs up to 33W each (bulbs sold separately).

The chrome frame uses a polished finish that reflects ambient daylight and pairs cleanly with both neutral and warm-toned interiors. What bulbs does the Varo take?

The fitting takes seven G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit G9 LED capsules between 2.5W and 5W each, giving a combined output equivalent to a 30-50W halogen lamp at a fraction of the running cost.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 220mm projection from the ceiling makes the Varo suitable for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m. In rooms taller than 2.7m a pendant or semi-flush fitting may provide better proportion, while ceilings lower than 2.3m may benefit from a slimmer flush design.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal strand with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the strands or allowing water to reach the bulb sockets. Do not use spray cleaners or polishes on the chrome or crystal.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

No. The Varo is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting only. The flush plate sits flat against the ceiling surface and cannot accommodate angles or slopes without custom installation work.
