Description

The Varo is a 52cm flush ceiling light built around six G9 bulb fittings arranged within a circular polished chrome frame, with vertical crystal strands radiating from the centre to the edge and three faceted crystal spheres suspended from the base. The crystal elements refract light from the six bulbs, casting patterns across the ceiling surface and creating the visual effect of a wider light source than the 21cm projection suggests.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Varo fits directly against the ceiling with a flush-mount backplate. It works in bedrooms above the bed, in hallways and landings, and in dressing rooms or en-suites where ambient light is needed without reducing headroom. The 52cm diameter provides sufficient coverage for rooms up to 4m square without overwhelming smaller spaces like cloakrooms or box rooms.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient daylight during the day and creates a mirror-like disc when the bulbs are lit at night. The crystal strands are arranged in a radial pattern, denser towards the centre and more spaced at the perimeter, which balances decorative detail with functional light output. No. The Varo takes six G9 bulbs up to 33W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED capsule bulbs at 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 21cm projection makes it one of the better options for ceilings below 2.4m where a pendant would reduce usable headroom. The flush-mount design keeps the fitting tight against the ceiling.
