Description
The Streamlight is a 6-light crystal chandelier built around a central polished nickel column from which six curved arms extend outward in a symmetrical crown formation. Each arm supports multiple strands of Strass crystal droplets that cascade in layers, creating a waterfall effect across the 47cm diameter and 52cm height. The chandelier takes six BC (bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated up to 40W, sold separately.
Designed for dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, entrance halls with double-height ceilings, and formal living spaces where the chandelier can hang as a centrepiece without obstruction, the Streamlight provides both ambient and decorative light. The crystal droplets refract and multiply the light from each bulb, casting prismatic patterns across walls and ceilings when lit. The polished nickel finish gives the frame a cooler, brighter tone than brass or bronze alternatives, pairing well with grey, white, and blue-toned interiors as well as contemporary classical schemes.
The crystal used is Strass crystal, a lead crystal known for high refractive index and clarity. Each droplet is individually suspended on fine metal pins, allowing movement and slight sound when air currents pass through the chandelier. The frame and crystal assembly weighs 7.5kg, requiring a ceiling rose and joist anchor capable of supporting at least 10kg to allow for dynamic load. The curved arm structure means the chandelier projects light outward and downward rather than concentrating it directly beneath the fitting, making it suitable for larger dining tables (1.8m-2.4m) where even coverage is needed.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Streamlight take?
The chandelier takes six BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to achieve the warm glow expected from a crystal chandelier without the heat output of halogen.
Can the crystals be cleaned?
Yes. The Strass crystal droplets can be wiped individually with a soft microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, a solution of distilled water and a small amount of washing-up liquid applied with a barely-damp cloth works well, followed by immediate drying with a clean cloth to prevent water spots. The chandelier should be switched off and cool before cleaning.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 52cm height of the chandelier itself requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to avoid head clearance issues when hung over a dining table. For entrance halls or stair voids with higher ceilings, the chandelier can be suspended on a longer chain or rod to position it at the appropriate height relative to the floor or landing level.
Is the nickel finish lacquered or does it tarnish?
The polished nickel finish is typically lacquered during manufacture to prevent tarnishing and maintain the bright reflective surface. Normal indoor conditions will not cause the finish to degrade, but avoid installing in bathrooms or other high-humidity environments where the lacquer may deteriorate over time.
