Streamlight 1 Light Large Strass Crystal Chandelier - Antique Nickel

The Streamlight is a 35cm crystal chandelier built around a central antique nickel column from which cascading strands of Strass crystals descend in a fountain-like arrangement. A single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb sits at the core, surrounded by layers of precision-cut crystal prisms and icicle drops that refract light across the surrounding space. The antique nickel finish provides a warm grey-brown metallic frame that contrasts with the clear crystal strands.

Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier works as a centrepiece in spaces where the fitting can be viewed from multiple angles. The 40cm body height plus chain drop means the chandelier typically hangs 600-900mm below the ceiling rose, depending on the installation position. The 35cm diameter and compact single-bulb configuration make it suitable for narrow hallways and landing zones where a traditional multi-arm chandelier would overwhelm the width of the space.

Each strand of Strass crystals is individually hung from the metal frame, creating a layered curtain effect that moves gently in air currents from heating systems or open doors. The combination of faceted prisms and smooth icicle drops gives the chandelier two distinct refractive patterns when lit — sharp rainbow scatter from the prisms and softer streaks from the smooth pendants. The 3.5kg weight requires a ceiling rose rated for the combined load of fitting, bulb and fixing hardware.

What bulb does it take?

The Streamlight takes a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle or golf ball bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient hall lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 40cm body height plus chain drop typically results in a total drop of 600-900mm from the ceiling rose. This works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceiling spaces the chain can be shortened during installation, though the chandelier needs clearance beneath to avoid the crystal strands being walked into.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Each crystal strand can be wiped individually with a dry microfibre cloth while the chandelier is switched off and cool. For thorough cleaning, the strands can be unhooked from the frame and washed in warm soapy water, rinsed, dried and re-hung. Avoid chemical sprays that can leave residue on the faceted surfaces.

What ceiling rose is required?

The 3.5kg total weight requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 5kg to provide a safety margin. The chandelier fits standard UK ceiling roses and the chain conceals the cable run from rose to fitting.
