Description

The Straven is a 61cm diameter iron chandelier with three candle-style arms rising from a wide circular base, supported by arched iron ribs that meet at a central rounded finial. The frame is finished in sterling grey, a mid-tone metallic grey with a smooth satin surface that reads as cooler and more neutral than aged pewter or antique silver finishes.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwell landings with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Straven provides ambient light through three SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Each arm takes up to 60W, allowing either decorative filament bulbs for visible glow or frosted LED candles for diffused light. The 30cm drop from ceiling to base suits rooms where a lower-hanging statement piece would obstruct sightlines.

The arched supports give the chandelier structural presence without adding visual weight, and the grey finish pairs with both warm wood tones and cooler stone or painted surfaces. At 4kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings into a joist or a rated ceiling rose capable of supporting the load. The chain is adjustable during installation to reduce the drop if needed for lower ceilings.
