Description
The Sorelle is a 3 light floor lamp with a 36cm tessellated dome shade constructed from overlapping white geometric panels, mounted on a slender white column stand with a circular weighted base. Three ES (E27) bulb fittings inside the dome diffuse light through the gaps between the panels, creating a soft ambient glow with visible geometric shadow patterns on nearby walls and ceilings.
Designed for living room corners, bedside positions in master bedrooms, and reading alcoves, the 155cm height positions the shade at head height when seated, providing ambient light without glare. The weighted circular base gives stability on carpets and hard floors without needing a large footprint, and the slender column keeps the visual presence light despite the 7.1kg overall weight. The lamp accepts bulbs up to 24W combined across the three fittings (bulbs sold separately).
The matte white finish on both the shade panels and the column pairs with Nordic, Scandi and minimalist interiors where pale wood, linen and natural stone dominate the palette. The tessellated construction means each panel casts its own shadow line when lit, giving the dome depth and movement as the light catches different angles. The offset panel arrangement also means no two viewing angles show the same pattern, adding visual interest without pattern complexity.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Sorelle take?
The lamp takes three ES (E27 Edison screw) bulbs with a combined maximum wattage of 24W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with three 6-8W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.
Is the dome shade fragile?
The tessellated panels are rigid and interlock to form a stable dome structure. The shade is more robust than it appears visually, but should still be handled with care during assembly and positioning to avoid stressing the panel joints.
Does the lamp provide enough light for reading?
The Sorelle provides ambient diffused light rather than directed task light. For reading, it works well as background illumination paired with a separate directional reading light, or positioned close to the reading chair where the diffused glow provides adequate illumination for casual reading.
Is the base stable on rugs?
The weighted circular base provides stability on both hard floors and short-to-medium pile rugs. The 7.1kg weight keeps the lamp upright under normal use, though on very thick or shag rugs the base may benefit from being placed on a rug underlay or bare floor section.
