Description

The Solana is a 6 light wall or semi-flush ceiling fitting built on a horizontal satin brass bar with six amber-tinted glass globes arranged in a molecular configuration. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) and the acid-etched finish on the glass diffuses the light evenly across the fitting's 490mm length.

Designed for installation above mirrors in hallways and bathrooms (IP20 rated, zone 3 only), or as decorative ambient lighting in living rooms and bedrooms, the Solana works as either a wall-mounted fitting or a semi-flush ceiling mount depending on the space. The 250mm projection when wall-mounted brings the globes forward from the wall plane, creating shadowing and depth on adjacent surfaces. When ceiling-mounted, the fitting sits close to the ceiling with minimal drop, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.2m.

The satin brass finish is matte enough to reduce glare under daylight but retains enough sheen to reflect warm tones when the bulbs are lit. The glass globes are hand-blown with slight variations in size and tonal depth between individual pieces, a characteristic of the Italian manufacturing process. The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Check the total wattage does not exceed the fitting's maximum rated load.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating allows installation in bathroom zone 3 only (more than 600mm from a water source). It cannot be installed directly above a bath, shower, or basin.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Confirm your dimmer model supports LED loads before installation.

Can it be mounted on the ceiling and the wall?

Yes. The fitting can be installed as a semi-flush ceiling mount or as a horizontal wall light. When wall-mounted it projects 250mm from the wall; when ceiling-mounted it sits close to the ceiling with minimal drop.
