Description

The Solana is a 750mm semi-flush ceiling light built around 18 individual G9 bulb positions, each housed in an acid-etched white glass globe. The globes attach to brushed brass rods of varying lengths that drop from a circular matt white canopy, creating a clustered arrangement where the spheres sit at different heights below the ceiling plate.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where a chandelier drop would be excessive, the semi-flush format keeps the main body of the fitting within 300-400mm of the ceiling while still providing multi-point light distribution. The 18 bulbs spread light across a wide area, making the Solana suitable for living rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners, and entrance halls of 20-30m² where a single pendant or flush fitting would leave corners dim.

The matt white canopy and brass rod combination creates tonal separation between the ceiling and the cluster of glass globes, preventing the fitting from reading as a single mass. Each globe is acid-etched on the inside to diffuse the G9 bulb and reduce glare when viewed from below. The brass rods are hollow tubes that carry the cable runs, so there are no exposed wires between the canopy and the bulb positions.

The Solana accepts standard G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately), which gives flexibility to choose LED wattage and colour temperature to suit the room. Most users pair this fitting with 3-5W G9 LEDs at 2700K-3000K, which gives approximately 4,500-9,000 lumens combined output depending on bulb choice. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.
