Description

The Solana is an 850mm diameter ring chandelier carrying 14 G9 bulbs, each housed in a hand-blown amber glass globe. The circular satin brass frame supports the globes at staggered positions around and within the ring, creating a multi-point light source that distributes illumination across a wide area beneath the fitting.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Solana works as a centrepiece over surfaces measuring 2-3m in length. The 14-bulb array provides sufficient brightness for task and ambient use when fitted with G9 LED bulbs of 3-5W each. The amber glass tints the light output warm, softening the appearance of cooler LED colour temperatures and adding a honeyed glow to the space below.

The satin brass finish on the metal frame is brushed to a low sheen, reducing glare under direct light and pairing well with both warm metallics and darker wood tones. Each amber glass globe is individually blown, so minor variations in tint and bubble patterns are normal between globes. The 300mm drop from ceiling to the base of the frame is fixed, with cable length adjustable on installation to suit different ceiling heights. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

No. The Solana requires 14 G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit 3-5W G9 LED bulbs in 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Total wattage depends on the bulbs chosen.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Not all G9 LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 300mm frame height plus the suspension cable requires a minimum ceiling height of around 2.6m to avoid the fitting hanging too low over a dining table or island. The cable length is adjustable on installation.

What size table does it suit?

The 850mm diameter works over dining tables or kitchen islands measuring 2-3m in length. For larger tables, two Solana fittings can be installed in sequence, or a longer chandelier may be more appropriate.
