Description

The Solana is an 11-light chandelier built around a 730mm satin brass ring frame that supports eleven blown glass globes, each housing a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). The amber glass globes diffuse warm light while the circular frame maintains a horizontal plane, distributing light evenly across a wide area beneath the fitting.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Solana provides both ambient and decorative lighting across a 2-3m diameter zone. The 300mm drop positions the globes approximately 2m above floor level when hung from a standard 2.7m ceiling, placing the light source at a comfortable height above a typical dining table. The IP20 rating restricts use to indoor dry locations only.

The satin brass finish on the metal ring shows a low-sheen surface that softens reflections compared to polished brass, pairing well with both warm and neutral interior palettes. Each of the eleven blown glass globes sits on a short brass holder welded to the ring at intervals, creating an even spacing pattern. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing output to be adjusted for different occasions.

What bulbs does the Solana take?

The fitting takes eleven G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range at 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Check the bulb packaging to confirm dimmer compatibility if you plan to use a dimmer switch.

Is the Solana dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. Actual dimming performance depends on using dimmable G9 bulbs and pairing them with a trailing-edge dimmer suitable for LED loads. Standard rotary dimmers designed for halogen bulbs may cause flicker or limited dimming range with LED capsules.

What size dining table does it suit?

The 730mm diameter and 11-light distribution suits dining tables between 1.8m and 2.4m long. For smaller tables the Solana may overpower the space; for tables longer than 2.4m consider pairing two smaller pendants or selecting a larger linear chandelier.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The suspension cable can be shortened during installation to reduce the 300mm drop if needed for lower ceilings, though this will bring the globes closer to eye level when seated. The cable cannot be lengthened beyond the factory-set 300mm without replacing the cable assembly.
