The Solana is a 10-light linear pendant built around an 810mm satin brass bar, with ten blown glass globes arranged in pairs along its length. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) behind either acid-etched white glass or amber glass, depending on the variant chosen. The metal frame uses a round-section bar with a low-sheen satin brass finish that reduces glare under daylight.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway runs where overhead light needs to spread across a 1.5-2m zone, the Solana's 810mm length and 300mm projection work over surfaces between 900-1200mm wide. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light levels to be adjusted from bright task lighting during food prep or dining through to low ambient light for evening use. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

The blown glass globes are available in two finishes: acid-etched white glass diffuses light evenly across the room and reduces bulb glare, while the amber glass variant casts a warmer, more amber-toned glow that suits traditional and mid-century interiors. The satin brass bar and canopy pair comfortably with warm wood tones, terracotta, and cream-painted walls, and provide tonal contrast against cooler greys and whites. The fitting carries a 5-year manufacturer's warranty from Ideal Lux.

What bulbs does the Solana take?

The fitting takes ten G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range at 2700K-3000K for warm white light. G9 halogen bulbs up to the manufacturer's maximum wattage are also compatible.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. LED dimming performance depends on the specific bulb and dimmer combination, so test compatibility before committing to a full installation.

What's the difference between the white and amber glass?

The acid-etched white glass diffuses light evenly and provides a clean, bright appearance suitable for contemporary interiors. The amber glass casts a warmer, more golden-toned glow and suits traditional or mid-century schemes where a cosier atmosphere is wanted.

What surface width does the 810mm length suit?
