Description
The Selia is a 48cm diameter chandelier built around two tiers: an outer crown of laser-cut gold panels arranged in overlapping angles, and an inner cylinder of vertical clear crystal rods that hang in a curtain below. Six E14 bulb fittings sit within the crystal tier, casting light through the glass and reflecting off the gold metalwork above.
Designed for dining tables, entrance halls and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Selia works as both ambient and decorative lighting. The 40cm body height plus suspension wires means the fixture typically hangs 600-800mm above a dining surface or 2m+ above floor level in an entrance hall, where the layered construction and reflections are visible from multiple angles. The combination of gold panels and clear crystal creates contrast between warm metal tones and cool transparency.
The laser-cut panels form irregular geometric shapes that angle outward from the suspension point, giving the crown dimension and shadowing. The crystal rods below are faceted along their length, so when lit they break and scatter light rather than diffusing it uniformly. At 11.5kg the fixture needs a ceiling fixing point rated for the load plus a safety margin. The gold finish is applied to steel, not solid brass, keeping the weight manageable while providing the tonal warmth of a metallic accent.
The six E14 bulbs (sold separately) allow flexibility in light temperature and brightness. Most buyers pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the gold finish without over-lighting the crystal. The fixture is not rated for dimming unless paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Selia takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. E14 candle-style LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) and 4-6W work well with the gold and crystal finish. Maximum wattage per bulb depends on the lamp holder rating, confirm with the fitting instructions on delivery.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 40cm body height plus suspension wires means the fixture works best in rooms with 2.7m or higher ceilings. For a dining table the bottom of the crystal tier typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface. For entrance halls or bedrooms the fixture hangs 2m+ above floor level to keep the crystal tier out of head-height zones.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal rod individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the rods or allowing water to pool in the bulb fittings. Do not use household glass cleaners or sprays on the gold metalwork as they can dull the finish.
Is it suitable for low ceilings?
No. The combined body height and suspension wire length make this fixture unsuitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. For low ceilings, consider a flush or semi-flush ceiling light instead.
