Selia 6 Light Laser Cut Crystal Chandelier - Chrome

The Selia is a 48cm diameter crystal chandelier built from two tiers of laser-cut chrome panels arranged in a cylindrical drum, with prismatic crystal rods suspended beneath the upper tier and cascading through the lower. Six E14 bulbs sit inside the upper section (bulbs sold separately), lighting the crystal elements from above to produce both direct downlight and refracted scatter through the cut edges of the crystal.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and stairwell voids with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Selia works best where the full 43cm height of the fixture can be appreciated from multiple angles. The chrome panels form angular geometric shapes that catch and reflect ambient light during the day, while the crystal rods beneath add vertical depth and prismatic colour scatter when the bulbs are switched on. The 11.5kg weight gives the fixture substantial presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings in most UK builds.

The laser-cut panels are polished chrome on both faces, which produces sharp reflections rather than the softer glow of brushed finishes. This works well in contemporary and art-deco-influenced interiors where metallic accents are already present in hardware, mirror frames or furniture legs. The crystal rods are faceted glass rather than acrylic, catching and fragmenting light into the spectrum when positioned near windows or under LED bulbs with high colour rendering.

What bulbs does it take?

The Selia uses six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to avoid excessive glare through the crystal elements.

What ceiling height is required?

The fixture itself is 43cm tall. Suspended on standard cable for a dining table it typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For stairwell or double-height installations the drop can be extended.

Is the chrome finish polished or brushed?

Polished. The chrome panels have a mirror-like reflective surface that produces sharp highlights and reflections, rather than the softer appearance of brushed or satin chrome finishes.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The crystal rods are faceted glass. Dust them with a dry microfibre cloth or lightly dampened soft cloth with distilled water. Avoid household glass cleaners as they can leave streaks on the chrome panels. The panels themselves can be polished with a chrome-safe metal cleaner if fingerprints or tarnish appear over time.
