Description
The Roven is a 4-light crystal chandelier with a smoked champagne finish on the glass arms and droplets, paired with polished chrome candle sleeves and chain suspension. Four SES (small Edison screw) candle bulbs sit in upward-facing polished chrome holders on curved glass arms that spiral outward from a central glass column. Cut crystal droplets hang from each arm and from the base, catching and refracting light when the chandelier is lit.
Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Roven's 35cm diameter and 40cm drop suit smaller to mid-sized rooms where a traditional multi-arm chandelier would be too large. The smoked champagne tone on the glass gives the fixture a warmer, less neutral appearance than clear crystal, making it easier to pair with cream, beige, warm grey and soft pink interiors without introducing harsh reflective contrast.
The chandelier frame is built from moulded glass arms bolted to a central glass column, with the polished chrome candle sleeves and chain providing structural contrast. At 3kg total weight, the fixture needs secure ceiling rose fixing into a joist or ceiling spreader plate. The smoked champagne finish is consistent across the glass components but varies slightly in translucency depending on wall thickness, so thicker sections of the moulded arms appear darker than thinner droplets when backlit.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Roven takes four SES (small Edison screw, E14 base) candle bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K) for a softer glow that complements the smoked champagne finish.
Is it dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you fit and the dimmer switch installed. LED bulbs need to be specifically marked as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer. If you fit traditional incandescent or halogen candle bulbs, they will dim on most standard dimmers.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 40cm drop from ceiling rose to base of the droplets works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically sits 700-850mm above the table surface, which requires a 2.7m ceiling height to avoid the fixture being too low when seated.
How is the champagne finish maintained?
Dust the glass arms and crystal droplets with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fixture or using chemical sprays near the polished chrome fittings.
