Description
The Roven is a 4-light crystal chandelier built on a polished chrome frame with four curved arms, each terminating in a candle-style SES bulb holder dressed with cut crystal droplets and pendalogues. The central column carries a moulded glass body in a traditional urn shape, with additional crystal droplets suspended from the arms and a faceted crystal sphere hanging from the base. The 35cm diameter and 40cm height make it suitable for smaller spaces where a full-scale chandelier would overpower the room.
Designed for dining rooms with tables seating four to six people, entrance halls with 2.4m-2.7m ceiling heights, and bedrooms where decorative overhead lighting is preferred to wall or table lamps, the Roven pairs traditional chandelier form with a chrome finish that softens the formality. The polished chrome reflects light from the four bulbs across the crystal, creating layered illumination rather than a single central light source. The 40W maximum per bulb allows for total output of 160W if using halogen candles, or equivalent LED output in the 6-8W range per bulb.
The crystal droplets are individually hung on metal pins, allowing light to pass through and refract across walls and ceilings when the chandelier is lit. The chrome finish sits between warm brass and cool stainless tones, pairing with grey, white, soft pink and pale blue room schemes as well as traditional cream and beige palettes. At 3kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or reinforced ceiling rose.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Roven take?
The chandelier takes four SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs in the 4-6W range (equivalent to 25-40W halogen) and 2700K colour temperature for a traditional warm glow.
What room size does the 35cm diameter suit?
The 35cm diameter works well over dining tables up to 1.2m wide, in entrance halls of 2-3m square, and in bedrooms of 3-4m square. In larger rooms the chandelier can still function as accent lighting over a specific zone rather than as the primary light source for the whole space.
Is the chandelier height adjustable?
The 40cm drop is fixed. The chandelier hangs from a standard ceiling rose and chain, and the chain can be shortened during installation if a lower drop is needed, but the body height itself (the 40cm measurement) cannot be adjusted.
How is the crystal maintained?
Dust the crystal droplets with a soft, dry microfibre cloth every few months. For deeper cleaning, remove individual droplets from their pins (photographing the arrangement first helps with reassembly) and wash in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, then dry immediately with a lint-free cloth to avoid water spots. Do not use spray cleaners directly on the chandelier while it is assembled and hanging.
