Description

The Ripple is a 35cm flush-mounted ceiling light built around four integrated 5W COB LEDs set behind a drum of faceted crystal panels arranged in a wave-pattern grid. The crystal panels are backed by a polished chrome band that both frames the fixture and reflects light back through the crystal, amplifying the diffusion effect. The flush mount sits directly against the ceiling with a 19cm overall projection.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, cloakrooms and entrance halls where ceiling height is limited or a lower-profile fitting is needed, the Ripple provides ambient illumination through the crystal without dominating the space. The faceted crystal panels scatter light outward in multiple directions, reducing harsh shadows and creating depth across the ceiling surface. The 35cm diameter suits rooms of 8-12m² where a larger pendant would feel excessive.

The polished chrome finish provides clean reflective edges that pair with modern chrome taps, handles and radiators in bathrooms and utility spaces, as well as cooler-toned contemporary interiors. The crystal panels are cut with geometric facets rather than smooth curves, giving the light a more architectural character than traditional cut-glass fittings. At 4.9kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced ceiling rose.

Is the Ripple dimmable?

The integrated COB LEDs are fixed-output. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific driver used by Impex in this model. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch to confirm compatibility.

What size room does it suit?

The 35cm diameter and four 5W LEDs suit rooms of approximately 8-12m², including hallways, cloakrooms, small bedrooms and entrance halls. For larger living spaces a bigger flush fitting or multiple Ripples would be needed.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the crystal panels gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the fitting or using household glass cleaners, which can leave residue on the faceted surfaces.

Does it require a joist for fixing?

At 4.9kg the Ripple requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a reinforced ceiling rose rated for the weight. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient.
