Queenlight 8 Light Crystal Chandelier - Chrome Glass Arms Czech Crystal

The Queenlight is an 8 light crystal chandelier built around a polished chrome centre column with eight curved glass arms radiating outwards, each arm terminating in a candle-style SES bulb holder wrapped with Czech crystal droplets. The glass arms are moulded into a traditional scroll shape, and the crystal pendants hang from the bobeche (drip tray) beneath each bulb position, giving the chandelier its characteristic layered sparkle when lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the 55cm diameter and 40cm drop suit spaces where a traditional chandelier silhouette is needed but not at the scale of a 12 or 16 light model. The polished chrome finish on the metalwork reflects both natural daylight and candlelight from the eight bulbs, amplifying the light output and adding a cooler metallic accent compared to gold or brass variants. The chandelier weighs 6kg, requiring a suitably rated ceiling hook and rose.

Each glass arm supports cascading strands of cut Czech crystal in graduated sizes, with the crystal reflecting and refracting light into the room. The SES (E14) bulb fitting accepts small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each (bulbs sold separately), giving a maximum combined output of 480W if all eight positions are filled with halogen. Most installations use LED candle bulbs at 4-6W per position for equivalent brightness with lower energy consumption. The chrome and glass construction allows the chandelier to pair with both traditional and transitional interiors where a classical chandelier form is required but warmer brass tones would clash with existing fittings.

What bulbs does the Queenlight take?

The chandelier uses eight SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Each position accepts up to 60W, though most users install LED candle bulbs between 4-6W for equivalent brightness to older 40W halogen bulbs.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs installed and the dimmer switch used. If you pair dimmable LED SES candle bulbs with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer, the chandelier can be dimmed. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not dim regardless of switch type.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 40cm drop from ceiling rose to base of the chandelier suits rooms with 2.6m or higher ceilings. Over a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, requiring a minimum ceiling height of approximately 2.7m for comfortable clearance.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystal or using chemical sprays which can leave residue and dull the cut facets.
