The Queenlight is a 940mm-diameter Czech crystal chandelier with 19 candle-style bulb positions arranged across two tiers of curved glass arms, each dressed with cut crystal droplets and bobeches. The frame is polished chrome, providing a cool-toned metallic finish that reflects and multiplies light from the SES bulbs (sold separately). Strands of faceted crystal beads link the arms and hang from the central column, adding movement and prismatic refraction when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Queenlight suits formal dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and large living spaces where a 940mm spread can be accommodated without obstruction. The 820mm drop (excluding chain) positions the lower tier of bulbs approximately 1.5-1.8m below the ceiling rose when installed, making it visible from ground level without dominating sightlines across the room. The 14.5kg weight requires secure ceiling joist fixings or a load-rated ceiling rose.

Each of the 19 arms terminates in a clear glass bobeche beneath the bulb holder, catching drips if wax candles were ever fitted (though modern SES LED or halogen bulbs are the practical choice). The Czech crystal droplets are individually wired onto the frame and hang on brass pins, so they can be removed for cleaning or rearranged if needed. The polished chrome finish on the metalwork pairs with cool greys, whites and marble in contemporary classical interiors, as well as traditional schemes where silver-toned metals are preferred over brass or gold.

What bulbs does the Queenlight take?

The chandelier takes 19 SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to replicate the look of traditional candle flame without the heat or energy draw of halogen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 820mm drop plus chain typically positions the chandelier 1.5-1.8m below the ceiling rose. Rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above work best, ensuring adequate clearance beneath the lower tier of bulbs. Higher ceilings (3m+) allow the chandelier to be suspended lower for greater impact.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The crystal droplets can be wiped individually with a dry microfibre cloth while the chandelier is switched off and cool. For a deeper clean, each droplet can be unhooked from its brass pin (mark the arrangement first), washed in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinsed, dried and re-hung.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs fitted. LED bulbs marked as 'dimmable' will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or fail to dim. If dimming is required, check the bulb specification before purchase and pair with a compatible dimmer switch.
