Description

The Queenlight is a 12-light crystal chandelier built around a two-tier frame of champagne-gold glass arms, each draped with Czech crystal droplets and beaded strands. The chandelier measures 55cm in diameter and 48cm in height, with six candle-style bulb holders on the lower tier and six on the upper tier, all using SES (E14) fittings rated to 60W each.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and formal living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Queenlight provides multi-point ambient and decorative light. The gold-toned glass arms carry the weight of the crystal drops whilst allowing light from the candle bulbs to refract through both glass and crystal. Each arm terminates in a faceted glass bobèche (drip pan) beneath the bulb holder, adding another layer of reflection when the chandelier is lit.

The Czech crystal droplets are machine-cut glass with high lead content, giving them greater clarity and weight than standard acrylic or glass crystal substitutes. The beaded strands connecting the tiers create a curtain effect when the chandelier rotates slightly under air movement, and the champagne-gold finish on the glass arms sits between true yellow gold and pale bronze, making it compatible with both warm brass and cooler chrome fixtures elsewhere in the same room. At 7kg total weight, the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 10kg and a secure joist fixing.

What bulbs does the Queenlight take?

The chandelier takes 12 x SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional warm glow that complements the gold finish.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 48cm drop plus ceiling rose and chain adds approximately 60-80cm total height from ceiling to lowest crystal point. This works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above to maintain clearance over dining tables or walkways.

What's the difference between Czech crystal and standard glass?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool fully. Remove each crystal droplet by hand and wipe with a microfibre cloth dampened with distilled water. Dry immediately. The glass arms can be wiped in situ with a barely-damp cloth. Do not spray household cleaners directly onto the chandelier.
