The Perryn is a 5-light chandelier built around a polished chrome scrollwork frame with five curved arms, each supporting a cut-glass shade trimmed with strings of Strass lead crystal droplets. The chandelier measures 61cm in diameter and 53cm in height, making it suitable for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above without overwhelming compact rooms.

Designed for bedrooms, dining rooms seating four, hallways and entrance areas, the Perryn provides decorative light rather than high-output task lighting. Each arm holds a single SES (E14) candle bulb up to 40W (sold separately), giving a total maximum output of 200W across all five fittings. The chrome scrollwork extends upward and outward from a central column, with the crystal droplets hanging from the underside of each shade and cascading from the upper scroll detail.

The polished chrome reflects ambient light from windows and other fittings during the day, while the Strass lead crystal droplets refract artificial light in the evening. The cut-glass shades diffuse bulb glare and create a softer spread of light than bare-bulb fittings. At 9kg the chandelier requires a ceiling fixing rated for at least 15kg to provide a safety margin, and the chain can be shortened on installation to suit different ceiling heights.

What bulbs does the Perryn take?

The chandelier takes five SES (E14) candle bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to mimic traditional filament candles while reducing heat output.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 53cm drop plus chain means the chandelier works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For lower ceilings the chain can be shortened during installation, but the chandelier itself cannot be reduced in height below 53cm without removing decorative elements.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Strass lead crystal can be wiped gently with a microfibre cloth dampened with distilled water. For deeper cleaning, individual droplets can be removed from their hanging hooks, washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried thoroughly before re-hanging. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the chandelier while it hangs, as residue can collect in the metalwork.

What ceiling fixing is required?

The chandelier weighs 9kg. Use a ceiling fixing rated for at least 15kg to provide a safety margin. Standard plasterboard ceiling roses are not sufficient — the fitting must be secured to a joist or use a spreading load plate designed for heavy light fittings.
