Moryn 5 Light Georgian Crystal Chandelier - Chrome

The Moryn is a 5-light Georgian-style chandelier built around a chrome frame with Strass crystal droplets cascading from five upward-facing arms. The frame centres on a faceted crystal column rising through the middle, with pressed-glass bobeches at each arm holding candle-style SES bulbs. Crystal strands hang from each bobeche and from the upper crown, refracting light across the chrome metalwork when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and sitting rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Moryn works in traditional and transitional interiors where a compact chandelier is needed without sacrificing presence. The 51cm diameter suits rooms from 3m x 3m upwards, and the 46cm drop leaves clearance below the fitting even in standard-height ceilings. The chrome finish reflects daylight and bulb light across the crystal, giving a brighter appearance than brass or bronze equivalents.

The Strass crystal used in the Moryn is precision-cut leaded glass that produces clear prismatic refraction when light passes through it. Each droplet is individually hung on chrome links, so the chandelier has slight movement when air circulates in the room. What bulb does the Moryn take?

The chandelier takes five SES (E14 small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to achieve traditional candle-style appearance without excessive heat or power draw.

What room size does it suit?

The 51cm diameter works in rooms from approximately 3m x 3m upwards. In dining rooms the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface. In hallways or landings it suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above to maintain head clearance below the 46cm drop.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow bulbs to cool fully. Remove individual crystal droplets from their chrome links and wash gently in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinse in distilled water, and dry with a lint-free cloth. Wipe the chrome frame with a soft dry cloth. Avoid spray cleaners which can leave residue on the metalwork.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. LED candle bulbs must be labelled as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Traditional incandescent or halogen SES candle bulbs can be dimmed on most standard dimmers, but check bulb packaging before installation.
