The Moryn is a 12-light Georgian crystal chandelier built on a polished chrome frame with precision-cut Strass crystal elements arranged in two tiers. The upper tier holds three arms, the lower tier nine, forming a 62cm-diameter circular silhouette with 60cm height from canopy to base. Each arm terminates in a candle-style SES bulb holder surrounded by a crystal bobeche, and cascading crystal chains link the tiers to a central column.

Designed for high-ceilinged dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwells with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Moryn functions both as a light source and as architectural sculpture. The twelve SES bulbs (sold separately, maximum 40W each) sit at staggered heights to distribute light evenly across the room volume, while the Strass crystals refract that light into the surrounding space. The chrome finish reflects light back through the crystal without adding warmth, making it suited to cooler-toned interiors and contemporary classical schemes.

The chandelier weighs 6kg and requires secure ceiling fixings capable of supporting that load plus the weight of the chain suspension. The chrome frame is solid rather than plated, so surface wear from handling during installation is minimal. Each crystal element hangs on individual pins, allowing individual pieces to be removed for cleaning or replacement without dismantling the entire fitting. The layered structure of arms, bobeches, chains and central column creates depth when viewed from below, preventing the chandelier from reading as flat when lit.

The Moryn takes twelve SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) bulbs, each rated up to a maximum of 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this chandelier with candle-style LED bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a warm traditional look, or clear filament LEDs for a more visible lamp effect.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 60cm body height plus chain suspension means the chandelier suits rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. In a dining room the base of the fitting typically sits 2-2.2m above floor level, leaving 700-900mm clearance above a table surface.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Each crystal element hangs on individual pins and can be removed for cleaning. Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with distilled water, then dry immediately. Avoid household sprays or polishes, which leave residue that dulls the crystal over time.

Is the chrome finish solid or plated?

The chrome frame is solid metal with a polished chrome finish. This is more durable than chrome plating and resists surface wear during installation and handling.
