Description

The Manorhall is a 6 light iron chandelier built around a rectangular 101cm frame with six candle-style SES holders mounted on scrolled iron arms. The frame hangs from four linked chains attached to a decorative iron loop at the top, giving the chandelier a 50cm drop from the ceiling rose to the base of the candelabra body. Each holder accommodates a 60W SES bulb (sold separately) and the matt black powder-coated finish runs across the entire iron structure including chains, arms and scrollwork.

Designed for rectangular dining tables 1.8-2.4m long, vaulted kitchen-diners and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Manorhall provides ambient overhead light distributed across six evenly-spaced points. The linear frame sits parallel to the table length, creating symmetry when viewed from either end of the room. The 11kg weight requires a secure ceiling fixing capable of handling the combined load of the ironwork plus bulbs.

The matt black finish over forged iron gives a textured, low-sheen surface that absorbs rather than reflects light, making the chandelier itself read as a dark silhouette against pale ceilings. The scrolled ends on each arm and the decorative loops at the suspension point echo medieval and Gothic Revival ironwork without literal reproduction. The candle-style holders angle upward, meaning the bulbs sit vertically and remain visible when standing beneath the chandelier.

The Manorhall takes six SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for dining room ambience.

What table length does it suit?

The 101cm linear frame works best over rectangular tables between 1.8m and 2.4m long. For tables shorter than 1.8m the chandelier may feel oversized; for tables longer than 2.4m consider two smaller chandeliers spaced along the length instead.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 50cm drop from ceiling rose to the base of the candelabra frame means you need a minimum ceiling height of 2.7m to allow adequate clearance above head height when standing. Higher ceilings of 3m+ suit the proportions better and prevent the chandelier feeling compressed.

How is it suspended?

The chandelier hangs from four linked chains attached to a central decorative iron loop at the top. The chains cannot be shortened without removing links using pliers or cutting tools, so measure the required drop before installation.
