The Lumina is a 37cm chrome flush ceiling light with five G9 bulb fittings housed inside a bowl-shaped frame wrapped in concentric spirals of faceted crystal beading. The 22cm height from ceiling plate to base allows the fitting to sit close to ceilings under 2.4m while the layered crystal construction gives visual depth and catches light from multiple angles.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms and en-suites where ceiling height limits pendant options, the Lumina provides decorative light without dropping into headroom. The chrome frame runs in horizontal bands around the bowl, holding strings of cut crystal beads that refract both natural daylight and artificial light from the five G9 bulbs. Each bulb sits inside the crystal layer rather than below it, so the light passes through the beading before reaching the room.

The 37cm diameter suits rooms between 3m and 4m square without dominating smaller spaces or disappearing in larger ones. The chrome finish presents as polished rather than brushed, giving sharper reflections that amplify the crystal sparkle. At 2kg the fitting needs secure ceiling fixings into joist or solid backing rather than plasterboard alone. The five G9 bulbs are sold separately and can be LED or halogen up to 28W total load.

What bulbs does it take?

The Lumina takes five G9 bulbs up to a combined 28W maximum load. G9 LED bulbs in the 2-5W range per bulb are common, giving warm white light at 2700K-3000K. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can it be fitted to a plasterboard ceiling?

At 2kg the fitting requires secure fixings into ceiling joists or solid backing rather than plasterboard alone. If your ceiling is plasterboard over timber joists, locate the joists and fix the ceiling plate into them. If no joist is available at the desired position, a spreader plate or cavity fixing rated for the weight is needed.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal strand gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust build-up a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or letting water run into the bulb holders.
