Description

The Luma is a 580mm diameter flush ceiling light with eight G9 bulb holders arranged behind tiered faceted crystal prisms, mounted on a circular gold-finished frame. The crystal tiers cascade in concentric rings, each prism cut to reflect and refract light from the eight bulbs into the room. The 220mm projection from the ceiling keeps the fitting within the low-ceiling range while delivering the decorative presence of a chandelier.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landings and formal lounges where ceiling height is below 2.4m or where a drop pendant would intrude on headroom, the Luma provides ambient and decorative light across a 4-5m room. The eight G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal rather than being exposed, so the prisms act as the visible light source once lit. The gold frame warms the light cast through the crystal, giving a softer tone than chrome or polished nickel alternatives.

The faceted crystal is arranged in diamond-point tiers that create movement when viewed from different angles across a room. At 10kg, the fitting requires a ceiling fixing rated for that load, and the 580mm width needs sufficient clear ceiling space to avoid overlap with cornicing or pendant cables nearby. The gold finish on the frame pairs with warm brass door furniture, gold-toned mirrors and velvet upholstery in traditional and contemporary interiors.

What bulbs does the Luma take?

The fitting takes eight G9 bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W each at 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 220mm projection from the ceiling makes this suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.5m where a drop pendant would intrude on headroom. The flush mounting keeps the fitting within the safe clearance zone above head height.

What ceiling fixing is needed?

The fitting weighs 10kg, so the ceiling fixing must be rated for that load. A solid joist fixing or spreading plate across multiple joists is recommended. Plasterboard-only fixings are not sufficient for this weight.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains supply, allow the bulbs to cool fully, then wipe each prism individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or using household sprays that can leave residue.
