Luma 8 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Chrome

The Luma is an 8-light flush ceiling light built on a polished chrome frame, measuring 580mm diameter and 220mm projection from the ceiling. Eight G9 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit within a layered arrangement of prismatic crystal drops, each cut to catch and disperse light across multiple angles. The flush-mount design positions the entire fitting close to the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where ceiling clearance is limited but ambient light and visual interest are both needed, the Luma provides the light output of eight G9 bulbs (typically 3-5W LED per bulb) with the reflective presence of cut crystal. The chrome base acts as a mounting plate and structural support for the crystal layers, while the polished finish amplifies light reflection across the ceiling surface. The 580mm diameter suits rooms between 12-18m², providing balanced coverage without overwhelming smaller ceilings.

Each crystal drop is individually hung and angled to maximise light diffusion, creating a scattered pattern of reflected light across walls and ceiling when the fitting is switched on. The combined weight of the chrome frame and crystal layers is 10kg, requiring a secure ceiling fixing into a joist or using a spreading plate on plasterboard ceilings. The polished chrome pairs cleanly with cool-toned interiors, mirrored furniture, and contemporary grey or white wall finishes.

What bulbs does the Luma take?

The fitting uses eight G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users choose 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for living spaces, or cool white (4000K) for bathrooms or utility areas. The maximum combined wattage is 33W across all eight bulbs.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 220mm projection from the ceiling makes the Luma one of the more compact flush crystal fittings, working well in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m-2.4m where a pendant would hang into head height.

Can it be fitted to a plasterboard ceiling?

The 10kg weight requires a secure fixing. If the ceiling rose is not positioned over a joist, use a spreading plate or cavity fixings rated for the weight. An electrician can confirm the appropriate fixing method during installation.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal drop with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the chrome base or letting water run into the bulb sockets.
