Description
The Luma is a 45cm square flush ceiling light with six G9 bulb fittings arranged behind a tiered structure of pyramid-cut crystal drops, mounted on a polished chrome backplate. The crystal tiers are arranged in three descending rows, with the largest triangular drops at the top edge and smaller pieces cascading down to a single central drop at the base, giving the fitting a 40cm overall drop from ceiling to lowest crystal.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Luma provides decorative presence without requiring the clearance of a suspended fitting. The flush backplate sits directly against the ceiling rose, keeping the bulk of the light within 400mm of the ceiling plane. This configuration suits hallways, landings, bedrooms, and dining rooms in flats and period conversions where ceiling height is limited. The square footprint and geometric crystal arrangement work well in rooms with square or rectangular floor plans.
Each crystal drop is precision-cut with faceted edges that refract light from the six G9 bulbs, casting small points of reflected light across walls and ceilings when the fitting is lit. The polished chrome frame and chain links holding the crystal tiers add further reflective surfaces, creating a layered interplay of metal and glass. At 10kg fitted weight, the Luma requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 12kg and a secure fixing into a joist or solid ceiling material, not plasterboard alone.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Luma take?
The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum wattage of 28W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs at 3-5W each and 2700K-3000K for warm white light that complements the crystal and chrome.
Is the Luma suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The flush mount design sits directly against the ceiling with a 40cm drop to the lowest crystal point, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards where a pendant light would hang too low.
What ceiling fixing is required?
The Luma weighs 10kg fitted, so the ceiling rose must be fixed into a joist, solid ceiling material, or a cavity fixing rated for at least 12kg. Plasterboard-only fixings are not adequate for this weight.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off the mains supply before cleaning. Wipe each crystal drop gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal chain links or getting moisture into the bulb holders.
