Luma 6 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Gold

The Luma is a 48cm flush ceiling light built around six G9 bulb fittings arranged beneath a tiered cascade of faceted crystal prisms, mounted to a polished gold steel frame. The crystal elements form a geometric dome approximately 20cm deep from ceiling to base, with each tier refracting light through the layers below. The gold frame provides both structural support and a warm metallic accent that reflects the light from the bulbs back through the crystal.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Luma delivers the decorative function of a chandelier without requiring the vertical clearance. The 48cm diameter suits rooms of 10-16m² — large enough to provide ambient coverage without overwhelming a typical double bedroom or hallway run. The flush mount fits directly to the ceiling with no visible chain or rod, keeping the entire fitting within a 20cm ceiling zone.

Each crystal prism is precision-cut to catch and split light into small rainbow refractions that move across walls and ceilings as you walk past. The polished gold finish on the frame pairs with warm brass, copper and bronze fittings elsewhere in the room, while the clear crystal keeps the overall effect light rather than heavy. At 6.7kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard mount — the weight comes from the density of the cut crystal, not the frame.

What bulbs does it take?

The Luma takes six G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. G9 LED bulbs in the 3-5W range per bulb are widely available and give warm white light at 2700K-3000K. Bulbs are sold separately.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 20cm projection from ceiling to base makes the Luma specifically suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.6m where a pendant light would hang into headspace. The flush mount keeps the fitting tight to the ceiling while still delivering the visual presence of a small chandelier.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal prism with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the crystals or letting water run into the bulb sockets. Do not use glass cleaners or chemical sprays on the crystal.

What ceiling fixing is required?

At 6.7kg the Luma must be fixed directly to a ceiling joist or to a reinforced plasterboard mount rated for the weight. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient. If in doubt about ceiling strength, consult a qualified electrician before installation.
