Description

The Luma is a 38cm flush-mounted crystal ceiling light with a gold-finished metal frame surrounding four G9 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately). Faceted crystal prisms arranged in concentric tiers hang beneath the gold canopy, refracting light from the four bulbs through the cut surfaces. The 18cm projection from ceiling to crystal base suits rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for entrance halls, powder rooms, compact bedrooms and low-ceiling living rooms, the Luma delivers both ambient ceiling wash and decorative sparkle without requiring headroom. The flush canopy sits directly against the ceiling rose, and the shallow crystal assembly projects downward rather than suspending on a chain or rod. The four G9 fittings accept halogen or LED capsule bulbs, giving flexibility on colour temperature and output depending on room use.

The gold frame provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass door furniture, gold-toned mirrors and warm neutral wall colours in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Each crystal prism is machine-cut and polished, so light passing through casts small rainbow refractions onto nearby walls and ceilings when the bulbs are switched on. At 4.3kg the fitting requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or supporting batten rather than plasterboard alone.

The Luma takes four G9 capsule bulbs with a combined maximum load of 33W. Most users fit 4W-5W LED G9 capsules in warm white (2700K-3000K). Bulbs are sold separately.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 18cm projection from ceiling to crystal base makes this suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upward. It works particularly well in rooms below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low or create a cluttered visual line.

How is the fitting secured to the ceiling?

At 4.3kg the Luma requires fixing into a ceiling joist or supporting batten rather than plasterboard alone. If your ceiling rose is not positioned over a joist, a spreader plate or additional timber batten should be installed during fitting.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal prism with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays that can leave residue on the cut surfaces.
