Luma 4 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Chrome

The Luma is a 38cm flush ceiling light with four G9 bulbs arranged behind a dome of faceted crystal prisms, mounted on a polished chrome circular backplate. The crystal elements are cut in geometric shapes and stacked in layers, creating refractive patterns across the ceiling and walls when lit. The 18cm drop from ceiling to base of crystals makes this suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, landing areas, guest bedrooms and compact living rooms, the Luma provides both ambient illumination and decorative sparkle. The four G9 fittings accept halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to 33W total (bulbs sold separately), giving control over brightness and colour temperature. The radial symmetry of the crystal arrangement means the light output spreads evenly across the room rather than concentrating in one direction.

The polished chrome backplate and internal frame provide high reflectivity, amplifying the light output from the four small bulbs and adding visual weight to what is otherwise a compact fitting. At 4.3kg the Luma requires secure ceiling mounting into a joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight. The chrome finish pairs with stainless steel appliances, mirror frames and contemporary hardware, while the crystal adds a decorative accent without overwhelming minimalist or monochrome interiors.

What bulb does the Luma take?

The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs, halogen or LED, with a combined maximum wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-4W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Is this suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 18cm drop from ceiling to base of crystals makes the Luma one of the more compact flush designs available, suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above without the fitting feeling oppressive.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal prism with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water to reach the electrical components inside the chrome canopy.

What ceiling mounting is required?

The 4.3kg weight requires secure mounting into a ceiling joist or a ceiling rose rated for at least 5kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient — the backplate must be screwed into structural timber or a dedicated mounting block.
