Description
The Louven is a 3-light crystal chandelier built on an antique brass frame with three curved arms extending from a central stem. Each arm terminates in a candle-cup fitting for an SES bulb (sold separately), surrounded by hand-cut crystal droplets suspended on brass pins. The frame features scrolled metalwork at the canopy and centre orb, and the antique brass finish shows tonal variation to suggest age and patina.
Designed for bedrooms, dressing rooms, entrance halls and dining spaces where ceiling height or room width limits fitting size, the 37cm diameter and 46cm drop suit rooms of 3-4m square without overwhelming the space. The chandelier works as a solo centrepiece over a small dining table, in pairs flanking a hallway, or as bedroom lighting where ambient rather than task light is needed. The SES fittings take candle-shaped LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W per socket.
The crystal droplets are individually hand-cut with faceted edges that catch and refract light when the bulbs are on, casting fragmented reflections onto walls and ceilings. The antique brass frame provides a warmer, less reflective base tone than polished brass or chrome, pairing more comfortably with period furniture, warm-toned paint and traditional interiors. At 3kg the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for the weight and a hook or chain suspension from a joist or ceiling fixing.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Louven take?
The chandelier uses three SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) candle bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow.
What room size does this suit?
The 37cm diameter works best in rooms of approximately 3-4m square — bedrooms, dressing rooms, small dining areas or entrance halls. In larger spaces the chandelier can appear undersized unless used in pairs or groups.
How is the chandelier installed?
The chandelier weighs 3kg and requires a ceiling rose or fixing rated for the weight, ideally secured to a joist or ceiling batten. The fitting suspends on a chain or rod (check what's supplied with the product) and connects to mains wiring via the ceiling rose.
Can the crystal droplets be removed for cleaning?
Yes. The droplets hang on individual brass pins and can be unhooked for cleaning or replacement. Wipe each crystal with a soft dry cloth or a barely-damp microfibre cloth with distilled water. Avoid chemical sprays or abrasive cloths that can scratch the facets.
