Description
La Nobleza is a 180x90cm photography print on tempered glass depicting an aristocratic dinner scene inside a Gothic hall lit by two crystal chandeliers. The composition shows approximately 30 figures in 18th-century court dress gathered around a banquet table laid with fruit, pastries and tableware, with additional standing figures in military and courtly attire flanking the scene. The print is reverse-mounted onto 4mm tempered glass, giving depth to the darker tones in the background stonework and bringing forward the candlelit highlights on fabric and skin.
Designed as a centrepiece for dining rooms, formal entertaining spaces and entrance halls with high ceilings, the print works in interiors that can absorb both its physical scale and its visual weight. At 16.2kg the piece requires two-point wall fixing into masonry or stud, and the hanging ironwork is supplied with the print. The 180cm width makes it suitable for walls above sideboards, behind dining tables in larger rooms, or in hallways where the length of the wall allows the composition to breathe without crowding doorways or alcoves.
The image itself is a staged historical recreation rather than a period photograph, combining Renaissance portraiture conventions with controlled studio lighting to create the effect of a candlelit gathering. The figures are arranged in a theatrical tableau, some seated, some standing, with costume detailing ranging from lace ruffs and brocade doublets to military sashes and ermine-trimmed cloaks. The two chandeliers hanging above the table provide the compositional anchors, their crystal drops catching the light and framing the central seated group.
The tempered glass surface allows the print to be cleaned with a damp microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner, but the reverse-mounted image itself is sealed behind the glass and protected from UV fading better than a canvas or paper print would be. The 4mm glass thickness gives the piece structural rigidity, reducing flexing once wall-mounted, and the polished edges mean the print can be hung without a frame if the wall colour and lighting suit a frameless presentation.

Frequently Asked
What wall fixings are needed?
Hanging ironwork is included with the print. The 16.2kg weight requires two-point fixing into masonry using wall plugs and screws rated for at least 10kg each, or into timber studs using wood screws. Plasterboard-only fixings are not recommended.
Can it be hung without a frame?
Yes. The glass has polished edges and the image is reverse-mounted, so the print can be hung directly against the wall without a surround if the wall colour and room lighting suit a frameless presentation.
How is the glass surface cleaned?
Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner. The printed image is sealed behind the glass, so the surface cleaning does not affect the photograph itself.
Is the scene based on a real historical painting?
The composition references Renaissance and Baroque group portraiture conventions but is a modern staged photograph rather than a reproduction of a period painting. The figures, costumes and setting are all recreated in a studio environment.
