Description
The Irati is a 206cm extendable oval dining table with a matt grey stone-effect top and natural wood grooved legs, extending to 286cm to seat up to 12 people. The top surface uses melamine-coated MDF with a stone-texture finish that resists heat marks and scratches better than plain MDF, while the base frame and four grooved column legs are finished in a natural wood tone.
Designed for open-plan dining rooms and kitchen-diners with floor space to accommodate 2.8m+ when extended, the Irati suits families who host regularly and need the table to expand from everyday 10-person use to 12-person gatherings without storing a separate extension leaf elsewhere. The oval shape eliminates sharp corners, making circulation around the table easier in tighter room configurations than a rectangular equivalent. The extension mechanism is centre-stored within the table structure, so the extra section pulls out from the middle rather than being added at one end.
The grooved vertical detail on each leg adds visual rhythm and breaks up what would otherwise read as four plain columns supporting the top. The 79cm table height is standard for dining chairs with 45-48cm seat heights. At 80.5kg the table has enough mass to feel stable when fully extended but is heavy enough that moving it solo across a room is impractical — plan the final position before assembly. The combination of warm wood base and cool grey stone top pairs well with mid-tone timber floors, concrete, and polished stone, fitting contemporary, Japandi and transitional interiors.

Frequently Asked
How many people does it seat when extended?
At 206cm the Irati seats 10 people comfortably (four per long side, one at each end). When extended to 286cm it seats 12, adding one extra person to each long side. The oval shape distributes seating more evenly than a rectangular table of the same length.
How does the extension mechanism work?
The extension leaf is stored within the table structure and pulls out from the centre. You separate the two halves of the table and unfold the stored section to bridge the gap, then lock it in place. The mechanism does not require storing a separate leaf elsewhere in the room.
Is the stone top real stone?
No. The top is melamine-coated MDF with a matt stone-texture finish. It replicates the look of grey stone but is lighter and more resistant to scratches and heat marks than real stone, and does not require sealing or specialist cleaning products.
What floor space is needed?
Allow at least 100cm clearance around the table when seated for comfortable chair movement. When extended to 286cm the table needs approximately 4.8m x 3m of floor space to allow people to move around it without squeezing past chairs.
