Description

The Glint is a 5-light flush ceiling fitting built around a rectangular chrome base supporting vertical clear crystal rods and cascading crystal droplets. The fitting mounts directly to the ceiling with a 21cm projection, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a standard pendant would hang too far into the space. Five G9 bulbs (sold separately) light the crystals from behind, creating refraction patterns across the ceiling and walls.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and stair landings where ceiling height limits pendant options, the Glint provides decorative presence without consuming vertical space. The 43cm rectangular footprint suits rooms of 12-18m² and works above furniture arrangements where a central pendant would interfere with sightlines. The chrome finish reflects both natural daylight and artificial light, amplifying brightness in lower-lit spaces.

Each vertical crystal rod is precision-cut to catch and split light into the full spectrum, so the fitting throws rainbow flashes onto nearby surfaces when lit or when daylight passes through the room. The chrome frame and crystal assembly give the fitting a 5.7kg weight, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor. The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G9 LED bulbs at 3-5W and 2700K-3000K work well for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting. The maximum rating is 33W across all five sockets combined.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 21cm projection suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would hang into head space. Rooms with higher ceilings can still use the Glint, though a pendant version may provide better scale in spaces above 2.6m.

How is the 5.7kg weight supported?

The fitting must be fixed directly to a ceiling joist or secured with reinforced plasterboard anchors rated for the weight. Surface-fixing into standard plasterboard alone will not hold the fitting safely.

Can the crystals be cleaned?

Yes. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For more thorough cleaning, wipe each crystal rod individually with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dry immediately to avoid water marks. Switch off at the mains before cleaning.
