The Glacia is a 73cm track lighting base canopy finished in silver-toned metal, designed to accept Ideal Lux compatible track heads. The canopy mounts flush to the ceiling with a 35mm projection and provides a fixed linear track onto which adjustable light heads can be positioned and locked. The system allows each head to be moved, rotated and angled independently along the 730mm run.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, gallery walls and retail spaces where directional lighting is needed without multiple ceiling roses, the track accepts between one and four compatible Ideal Lux track heads depending on power rating and light spread requirements. Each head locks into the track channel via a twist-and-lock mechanism, meaning heads can be repositioned without tools or re-wiring. The canopy itself wires into a standard UK ceiling rose and supplies power to all attached heads from a single connection.

The silver finish is a mid-tone metallic with a slight brushed texture that sits between polished chrome and brushed aluminium in appearance. The rectangular profile of the canopy measures 35mm in depth, keeping the system relatively low-profile against the ceiling while still providing structural rigidity for multiple heads. The metal construction gives the track a substantial feel and maintains alignment under the weight of attached heads without sagging over the 73cm span.

How many heads can be fitted to this track?

The 73cm length can accommodate between one and four track heads depending on the size and spacing of the individual heads. Power capacity and circuit loading also affect the maximum number of heads — consult an electrician if fitting high-wattage heads.

Can heads be repositioned once fitted?

Yes. Each head locks into the track channel via a twist-and-lock mechanism. To reposition a head, twist to unlock, slide along the track to the new position, and twist to lock again. No tools or re-wiring are needed.
