Description
The Glacia is a 73cm brass track lighting base from Ideal Lux, designed to accept standard track heads for adjustable accent or task lighting. The base itself is a rectangular metal channel finished in brass, with a 35mm projection from the ceiling. Track heads mount onto the channel via a twist-lock mechanism, allowing multiple spotlights or pendants to be positioned and repositioned along the length of the track without re-wiring.
Designed for kitchens, home offices, galleries and retail settings where light needs to be directed at specific surfaces or objects, the 73cm length suits smaller to medium-sized rooms or zones within larger open-plan spaces. The track can be surface-mounted onto a ceiling, positioned above kitchen worktops to illuminate preparation areas, or installed above a desk or workbench. Track heads are sold separately, giving flexibility to choose beam angles, wattages and finishes that match the application.
The brass finish is a warm metallic tone that sits between polished brass and satin brass, with enough lustre to reflect light but without the mirror-like shine of polished chrome. The metal construction gives the track rigidity under the weight of multiple track heads, and the 35mm projection keeps the track relatively low-profile against the ceiling. Ideal Lux backs the Glacia with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Does this include track heads or bulbs?
No. The Glacia is the track base only. Track heads, adapters and bulbs are sold separately, allowing you to select the beam angles, wattages and finishes that suit your lighting needs.
What track heads are compatible?
The Glacia uses a standard track mounting system compatible with most modern track heads. Check the track head product description to confirm compatibility, or contact us to verify before purchasing.
How is it installed?
The track is surface-mounted to the ceiling using screws through the mounting plate inside the channel. The electrical connection is made at one end of the track where mains voltage enters. A qualified electrician should complete the installation to meet UK wiring regulations.
Can multiple tracks be joined together?
Track systems typically allow joining via connector pieces to create longer runs or L-shaped configurations. Check with Ideal Lux or Niori for compatible connectors if you need to extend the 73cm length.
